Tip of the Month, 4/1/10
Check around your fence, wall or whatever you use to enclose your pool. Look for holes, separations or other openings in that enclosure that are greater than 4". Make sure you can't raise the bottom or easily pull open a gate. This is particularly important if small children can see your pool from outside of the enclosure. A small child can squeeze through an opening of only 6 inches! I've personally witnessed it. For safety's sake, we don't want a child to wander alone into the pool area unsupervised. Make your pool a "Kid-Safe" pool.
